Here at Adventure Northumberland we realise that not everybody has advanced mountain bike skills so we are providing a beginners course that covers all the essentials, making sure that you are out making the most of your mountain bike in no time!!

Beginners Session: Throughout our course we will cover the following

Our course is designed to improve your mountain bike riding experience, so whether you are new to mountain biking altogether or you have experience of riding but struggle with some aspects of mountain biking, this course is definitely for you.

Intermediate Course Jumps & Drops Riding Skills Course 'A Jumps and Drops ' mountain bike skills course will help you develop your riding skills on all kinds of steps, drops and jumps. You may have heard terms like 'pumping, power lift, manual, roll or wheelie'. We will help you understand these terms and how to use the techniques and develop your skills enabling you to ride ramps, steps, steep drops, jumps and more. This course has been very carefully structured mountain bike skills course will start with some basics like lifting the front wheel, from there you'll progress quickly. Course content:

  • Body position/weight distribution   
  • Drop offs   
  • Manual/front wheel lift    
  • Power assisted front wheel lifts    
  • Rear wheel lift
